When it comes to buying trekking holiday insurance it is a constant and confusing challenge to find the specialist cover you need. General travel policies or insurances provided free with bank accounts or credit cards do not cover trekking at altitude or the associated search and rescue insurance needed for peace of mind and security in the mountains. Snowcard has been providing specialist activity holiday insurance and altitude trekking insurance since 1990 and is a market leader and first choice of cover for trekkers and hill walkers. Unlike other trekking travel insurers, Snowcard do not charge a higher fixed excess for heli-rescue.
